System Overview

The system supports fine administration and library clearance-letter issuance at the UIN Ar-Raniry Library Unit. Fine data is retrieved from an API and processed through administration and payment workflows in one application.

After the requirements are completed, the system generates a PDF library clearance letter with a QR code for document verification.

Functional Scope

  • Fine dataRetrieves and manages overdue-item data through the library API integration.
  • Transaction managementProcesses fine data and payment status through the administrative workflow.
  • Multiple payment methodsSupports several payment channels, including an external payment service.
  • Multi-role accessSeparates user functions according to operational responsibilities.
  • Automated lettersGenerates PDF library clearance letters from processed data.
  • QR verificationProvides a verification page for validating issued documents.

Payment Integration

The system does more than record fines. Its payment workflow connects to the external SEVIMA EdLink service, allowing online transaction status to be processed alongside the library's administrative workflow.

01Fine Data API

Source of fine and overdue-item data from the library system.

02Payment Gateway

External payment integration through SEVIMA EdLink.

03Operational Workflow

Payment-status updates and completion of the administrative process.

Documents & Verification

Library clearance letters are generated automatically in PDF format. Each document includes a QR code that leads to a verification page, allowing its status and data to be checked through a scan.

Contribution

I developed the application functions and integrations that connect fine processing, payments, document issuance, and verification.

  • Built CRUD modules for fine administration.
  • Integrated fine-data retrieval through an API.
  • Implemented authentication and multi-role access restrictions.
  • Connected the payment workflow to an external service.
  • Built PDF generation and the QR-verification page.

Technical Implementation

Laravel Application

Handles business logic, authentication, authorization, CRUD operations, and coordination of the operational workflow.

API Integration

Connects the application to the fine-data source and external payment service.

Document Service

Transforms processed data into a PDF letter and provides the QR-verification endpoint.

Current Usage

The system is active and remains in use for managing fines and issuing library clearance letters at the UIN Ar-Raniry Library Unit.
